Grey Persian
Not much is known about Agnes Augusta Talboys (1863-1941), even though her paintings are still quite popular today and are often up for auction at the top houses. Born in Bristol, it seems that her most productive years were from 1908-1920. Elected an associate of the Royal West Academy, she also exhibited works at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. Her London Gazette obituary doesn’t even mention the fact that she was an accomplished artist, just simply that she was a widow. However, it is clearly evident that she was an accomplished artist and a lover of cats, especially Persians, as they are her primary subjects.
