Tetsuhiro Wakabayashi (Japanese)

Tetsuhiro Wakabayashi (Japanese), is a painter who lives in Kanazawa, Japan. He studied at the Kanazawa College of Art and Commerce Design Department and began to exhibit his works in 2012. Wakabayashi is also an illustrator and recently illustrated a short story by the author Akutagawa Rynosuke.

Wakabayashi has a distinctive light, whimsical style. His cats are oddly shaped and reflect their personalities. In one painting, Wakabayashi depicts an imperious cat wearing a crown. In many he has made cats persons surrounded by rich symbolism. For more of his works, check out his Facebook page here.
