Carl Emil Mücke (1847-1923, German)

Karl Emil Mucke, by Karl Sohn 1875Carl Emil Mücke (1847-1923, German) was a genre painter of mostly domestic interior scenes with women, girls and lively cats and kittens. The son of the painter Heinrich Mucke, Carl attended the same school. Later he became the student of Wilhelm Sohn. He lived in the Netherlands for a period and, hence, many of his paintings are of Dutch girls and reflect Dutch interiors.
